Your first transfer
This guide walks you through sending your first file with Retyc step by step.
Before you begin
- You must be logged in to your Retyc account
Step 1 — Access the send page
From the home page, click on the upload area Drop your files here. You can also go through the dashboard: Transfers > Create a new transfer.
Step 2 — Drop your files
Drag and drop your files into the area, or click on it to open the file picker. Multiple files can be added at once. The maximum size depends on your plan.
Step 3 — Configure (optional)
Click on Settings to display the options:

| Title | Displayed on the download page (not encrypted) |
| Message | Note attached to the files (encrypted) |
| Use a password | Additional protection for the link |
| Expiration | Duration the link remains available |
Step 4 — Send
Click on Send!. Retyc encrypts your files directly in the browser, then sends them securely. A progress bar is displayed file by file.
Step 5 — Share the link
Once the send is complete, you get a secure download link. Copy it and share it via the channel of your choice (email, messaging…).
If you entered recipients, Retyc automatically sends them an email notification. The title is stored in plain text — do not put sensitive information in it. The message, however, is always encrypted.
