The deposit box
The deposit box brings together every way to receive files from other people, without them needing to know your email address. You create a deposit, share its link, and the files arrive encrypted in your inbox.
Two types of deposits are available:
- The deposit link: a simple link to share so people can send you files. See Deposit link.
- The deposit form: a structured form to collect specific documents (ID, proof of address, contract…). See Deposit form.
The deposit box replaces the former "Your transfer link" and "Transfer templates" features. The old links have been replaced: if you had shared a personal transfer link or a template link, create a deposit and share its new link with your contacts.
Create a deposit
- Go to Dashboard > Deposit box > Add a deposit
- Choose the deposit type: Deposit link or Deposit form
- Configure it and share its link
Your existing deposits are listed under Deposit box > My deposits, with one tab per type.
Common options
Retyc account required or optional
For each deposit, you choose whether the sender must have a Retyc account:
- Required: the sender must sign in before depositing their files
- Optional: anyone with the link can deposit, even without an account
Co-recipients
If you belong to an organization, you can add members of your organization as co-recipients of the deposit. The deposited files are then encrypted with each recipient's public key, and each of them finds them in their own inbox.
Where to find received files?
Files deposited through a link or a form appear under Dashboard > Transfer > Inbox. Unlock your key with your passphrase to decrypt and download them.
